Golden Visa

GOLDEN VISA or ARI - Autorização de Residência para Atividade de Investimento.
It is a program created by the Portuguese Law (legislation) that allow citizens from countries that do not belong to the European Union (EU) or to the European Economic States, to obtain a residence permission to live in Portugal, benefiting also of free circulation on Schengen Area.

Holders of a Residence Permit for Investment activity has the right to family reunification, access to permanent residence permit, as well as the Portuguese nationality, in accordance with the current Portuguese legislation.

One of the 3 possible ways to benefit from the Golden Visa (ARI) is through the acquisition of property of a value equal to or greater than 500.000 Euros (five hundred thousand Euros) in Portugal (Azores, Madeira and Portugal mainland).
